A beautiful smile can increase your confidence and self-esteem,
giving you an edge in your everyday activities by improving your
professional and personal image. If your teeth are dark or worn and
make you look older, if gaps or chips make you feel self-conscious,
or if crooked or discolored teeth stop you from smiling fully, we
can help.
After we understand your needs and goals, we consider the shape
of your face, color of your eyes, shape and contour of lips. We
evaluate factors like the symmetry of your eyes and nose to the
other dimensions. Once you have your new smile, your confidence
soars.
Dr. Steven Rasner's experience, training and advanced in-office
cosmetic dentistry technology can gently create a new smile that
will make you look and feel better.
Implants
We can replace missing teeth with implants for people of all ages
with esthetic and predictable results. Dental implants have become a
choice treatment option for many patients who are missing one or
more teeth. A dental implant is a replacement tooth "root"
constructed of medical grade titanium.
Straightening with Orthodontics
We can straighten your teeth with invisible braces. Invisalign can
give you the beautiful straight teeth you've always wanted. It works
through a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners
that no one can tell you're wearing.
Periodontics
The American Dental Association says that 80 percent of all adults
have or will have some form of gum disease. Gum disease, or
periodontal disease, is the infection of the tissues surrounding and
supporting your teeth. We treat gum disease with a multi-faceted,
non-surgical approach that includes, antibiotics, deep scaling, and
mouth rinses.
Crown Lengthening/Gummy Smile
We can treat excessive or uneven gums with crown lengthening,
resulting in a more even, pleasing smile.
Crooked Teeth / Instant Orthodontics
Instant orthodontics is a procedure that straightens teeth using
bonded porcelain veneers or crowns instead of braces. We can close
large gaps between your teeth and correct overcrowding in one or two
visits. In addition, your teeth become naturally stronger by the
bonded porcelain veneers.
Bridge
We have several procedures to help replace missing teeth, including
implants, bridges, natural looking partial or full dentures. It is
not necessary to live with missing teeth any longer.
Partials/Dentures
A complete set of teeth improves your confidence and self-esteem,
but it also increases the longevity of your natural teeth by
removing stress placed on them. However, even the best partials or
dentures can't compete with natural teeth in ability to chew food
efficiently and comfortable. As the years go by, the supporting
ridges that remain after teeth have been removed gradually change
and get smaller. Patients should have their dentures checked at
least once a year.
Whitening
One question I ask my patients is: "What would you do to your mouth
if you had a magic wand?" Nine out of ten tell me they would like
whiter or brighter teeth. We can safely whiten your teeth in our
office in one or two hours by applying a whitening solution that is
accelerated with a high-intensity light.
Anterior Tooth That Was Darkly Stained
Porcelain veneers produce great smiles! Teeth which have been
stained, chipped, cracked or otherwise damaged can look beautiful
with this strong and durable technique.
Endodontics
We perform root canals to prevent tooth extraction when the inner
soft tissue of a tooth becomes damaged, infected, or inflamed. Once
we remove the damaged tissue, we carefully fill the canal, seal it
and crown it to protect the tooth and restore its functionality.
Signs you may need endodontic treatment include pain, prolonged
sensitivity to heat or cold, tenderness to touch and chewing, and
discoloration of the tooth.
Preventive Dentistry
With regular cleanings and check-ups, you can keep your natural
smile for a lifetime. Prevention begins with the control of plaque
and calculus, the main cause of decay and periodontal disease. In
fact, the major cause of tooth loss in adults is periodontal
disease, which is known as the silent killer of teeth because most
patients feel no symptoms until it's too late.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry is the art and science of designing wonderful
smiles. It involves all aspects of general dentistry with a special
emphasis on individual teeth and their overall harmony and balance
in your smile.
TMJ Syndrome
The temporomandibular joint connects the lower jaw, called the
mandible, to the temporal bone at the side of the head. Some people
feel discomfort or pain in the muscles that control jaw function. We
can help alleviate symptoms of clicking, pain, pressure in sinuses,
difficulty opening mouth, and migraine headaches.
